Track Record

Skipping Stone Media is headed up by the highly regarded screen industry executive Sasha Close.

Sasha has worked extensively in the Australian cinema and screen industry, starting in distribution before moving into exhibition and programming. From 2016 to 2019, Sasha was the Programming Manager for South Australian independent cinema chain Wallis Cinemas, where she implemented numerous event schedules targeting diverse audiences. Sasha curated the 2020 Gold Coast Film Festival program.

A highly regarded programmer of independent cinema and film, Sasha has sat on the Board of the Independent Cinemas Association, been a regular contributor at conferences and festivals and judged AACTA film categories.
